First, thanks a lot for your feedback. That means a lot!.

Second, one doesn't need to have vast background in math/CS to run quant analysis /trading strategies. Basic understanding of these topics (and willingness to learn) can take you pretty far (talking as a self-taught quant trader).

Lastly, there are junior positions in quant trading that are opened for non- PhD/MS. They are less common but exist (usually in the large HFs you can find these).
